Zak Williams & 1/AKORD A Multiple Stellar Award Nominated, #1 Billboard & Multiple Top Charting Choir was formed in 2003 . A group of singers & musicians united to uplift the name of the lord through song is based out of Philadelphia, Pa. Their membership spans the Tri State area & more! They have been blessed to minister with some of Gospel music's finest artists & choirs including: Dr. Ricky Dillard & New G, Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers, Kim Burrell, Donald Lawrence & The Tri City Singers, Dottie Peoples, Tramaine Hawkins, Dorinda Clark , Deitrick Haddon, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Pastor John P Kee & Dr. Bobby Jones & many more.  ZW1A was also blessed to be apart of The International Gospel Industry Retreat & The Urban Impact Summit. Both aired on The Word Network. They have also appeared numerous times on Bobby Jones Gospel formerly of BET . ZW1A also had the opportunity to participate in the Josh Groban & Trace Atkins tours respectively as well as the Timeless Tour. In 2012, ZW1A won 2 Rhythm Of Gospel Awards “Contemporary Choir of The Year & Community Choir Of The Year... In 2024 ZW1A also appeared with John Legend on his “An Evening With John Legend” Tour. In July of 2025 ZW1A appeared at the “Dell” in Philadelphia w/ Fantasia. ZW1A currently have 4 CD projects available : “The Declaration” featuring Jonathan Nelson & Bishop Jason Nelson , “Things Are Gonna Get Better” , The Next Chapter . All projects are currently available on all digital outlets. 

In late 2018 ZW1A signed with Enon Music Group based in Philadelphia , (EMG) owned by the Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church Rev. Dr. Alyn E. Waller is Pastor & President of EMG & Garland “Miche” Waller Vice President. The project “ Zak Williams & 1/AKORD" THE NEXT CHAPTER” was released nationwide July 19th 2019, featuring multiple chart toping singles : "Unpredictable God" featuring Pastor David Wilford & Thomas "TC" Clay", "He Reigns"  featuring Larry Daniels , "He's All I Need" featuring Bishop Bruce Parham. This project debuted @ #7 on Billboard & was ultimately nominated for the 2020 Stellar Awards Traditional Choir Of The Year category..  ZW1A was called upon to perform on the (2023) 38th Annual Stellar Awards held @ The Orleans Arena in Los Vegas.

 In June of 2023 the current project “Revisited” was released which debuted at #2 on iTunes gospel chart. The lead radio single “Jehovah Jireh” garnered Most Added & Increased plays & finally landed #1 on Billboard Gospel . This project also featured chart topping singles Jesus I’ll Never Forget (featuring Lowell Pye) & Glory To Your Name. 2024 the project was nominated for 2 Stellar Awards - Traditional Choir Of The Year & Choir Of The Year.  The current single “Hosanna” is currently listed in the top 30 of both Bilboard & Mediabase .  Currently ZW1A is preparing for a new release in the spring of 2026.
